On again, Off again . . .

This weather is driving me crazy! We had capris and short sleeves on Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday and Thursday we were bundled up. And today it was almost 70 again! I'm ready for spring. . . what did the groundhog say anyway!?!

Well, I finally coaxed Little Lion out on his bike today. We were playing at an indoor play gym today and headed home for naps. But the weather was calling me outside, so was pushed naps back a bit! You got to be flexible with this kind of weather!

So helmet in place and lots of encouraging words and he was off: down the drive-way. . . one pedal . . . and immediate brake! "I'm going too fast!!!"

Still encouraging, no you're not, lets go, you can do this. Look both ways. Across the street into the neighbors long drive way. All the way to the end by himself! Finally figures out how to turn around, back across and up to the garage! MISSION COMPLETE!

OH NO, I forgot the camera!!!

Mommy Lion: "How 'bout one more time?" (half asking, half begging)

Little Lion: "No. (awkard pause) Is it naptime?"

Mommy Lion: seeing a loop hole "If you are done riding your bike."

Little Lion: "I want to go one more time."

Camera ready, we ride!

Still not without much coaxing and cheerleading. Even Kate became interested in motivating him . . . really just in going out of the yard I think. Anyway, we now have pics to prove the accomplishment and even a little video. (I did stop recording seconds prior to a wipe out and melt down ~ maybe pushed naptime a little too far!)

Everyone had a good nap today!
