Okay. I totally remember doing "chores" as a kid. I don't remember doing them at Little Lion's age, but I can see he is ready for some responsibility. It's me that's the problem! I have such a, well, honestly, an anal personality. So letting go of perfection is sometimes hard. I realized this and have been working hard at not re-doing things I have Little Lion and even Daddy Lion do.
So Little Lion has been given the "chore" of making his bed.

And quite frankly he does a great job.

The fault lies with me in that I have not been consisitent in requiring this of him. Therefore, the habbit has not formed. I know some of you have this figured out, so how do I train myself to remember to require this? And what are some other "chores" you have little ones do?
I'm just like you. I want it done perfectly, so I'd rather do it myself! We've talked about having a chore chart for the boys (help set/clear table, put (some of their) clean laundry away, take the recycling out to the garage, pick up room, make beds--that's all I can think of). I need to be more consistent, too. After all, that's how they learn and get to where they can do it well.
