Hanging Out
Today we had a picnic at the park with my MOPS table. (plus some *wink*) It was the first day that we are back to uncomfortably warm days since IKE came through! I honestly don't think that phases the kids at all. However, it did make it hard to keep them out of the water! I thought for sure they would have the fountains turned off . . . NO!
This is all the kids minus the two littlest . . . you can only try so many times! *smile* Little Lion is officially the oldest at our MOPS functions . . .wow, where has the time gone. And Little Pumpkin looks so big in her jeans. She got into some ants yesterday; so jeans was the best way to keep her from scratching ~ she'll scratch 'til she bleeds and then some! So if you have any great itch remedies, let me know!
Little Pumpkin has NO fear! I was so proud of her today . . . I actually enjoyed myself with the other mommies! It was probably the first time I was not chasing her around or having her scream for me every time I turned around . . . progress, people, progress! *smile*
Little Lion with Ms. S! Yet another DIL possibility. . . really my options are endless! *wink* If he'll just choose one from my approved list ~ we'll all be happy~ right?!? *smile*
Little Pumpkin with Ms. A! The gap between them is quickly closing as they get older. I know we will have some great drama with the two of them! *smile* They are two peas in a pod.

I remember when those fountains were new and Mommy Lion was the one who loved them... *sigh* ;o)
ReplyDeleteThose are some really cute kids you have there!!!
I can't believe how tall both of my lions are getting - they look so big!! I agree it is probably the jeans because she can't possibly be growing this fast since the 1st of August. Oh Yeah! the remedy that helps is Benadryl -the liquid you swallow. Love ya lots - Grandma Lion
ReplyDeleteIt isn't nice when you don't feel like you have to watch their every move and can enjoy yourself too! They look adorable!
ReplyDeleteThey are such cute kids. I'm totally with you on finally enjoying yourself. Colin is finally playing and sometimes staying out of trouble.
ReplyDeleteI love how Little Pumpkin and Miss A have the same hair going on!
ReplyDeleteItch remedy taught to me by my grandma: baking soda and water mixed into a paste. Put it on the bites until it dries...may be kind of hard with a toddler though because you have to sit still or it will drip all over the place!
Hey girl...it was a nice morning out wasn't it! Little Lion looks so grown up in these pics doesn't he...hard to believe he's only one grade above Alec!!!
ReplyDeleteThe sunshine looks lovely. We had our first sunny day in three weeks yesterday. The lawn was way out of control. So, while I mowed, Dan took each of the kids on a three wheeler ride. Dmitry thought that was the best. He has been sneaking under the deck to sit on the cold machine all summer. I love to see them play together. Two of our favorite books from the girl's preschool years are MOPS books. 'Mommy May I Hug the Fishes' and 'Cowboy Boots'. Now Dima loves them too.
