For the first time . . .

and I'm sure it won't be the last time!
Today, I spent most the morning cleaning and just playing with Little Pumpkin. She doesn't get very much one on one time; and she's really quite enjoyable when we do~ note to self!
Here's where the title comes in: I'm drying my hair and since it's noon, I wasn't really going to fix it, just didn't want it to air dry . . .okay long story short! As I flip my head over to dry my hair, I notice something under my bed.
Now, yes, I do "store" things under my bed, but this was not something I had put there! In fact, it didn't look like anything "anyone" had put there.
Whatever it was, it wasn't moving, so I assumed it to be dead if it ever was alive. So mustering up the courage I get down on all fours to check out this "object" from afar.
Funny, it's more than one thing . . . still not moving, so I get a little closer . . . a dragonfly, a spider, . . . that's odd how did they . . .?
Wait a frog and a lizard!?! Okay, definitely the plastic variety! But, what a scare . . .

Good news is now we are only missing the lady bug from Little Lion's collection! *smile*
This reminded me of my brother and my mom; I can not even count on two hands the things she found! You know there's the normal little boy things: rocks, dirt, bugs, worms, even snakes. But the one that out stunk them all was the dead bird in his desk drawer! UGH!
I know this is part of being a mom of a boy, but here's praying my findings are always of the synthetic kind! *smile*

  1. I am not looking forward to that at all. Thankfully Colin is really into balls and not bugs.

  4. Boy is that ever true! I can't even imagine living in tarantula country. It isn't in our plans (I know you had asked) but that's not to say it isn't in God's. Give me a moose or a black bear any day!

No. 1 that you could see under your bed...
No. 2 that you were brave enough to get that close..
No. 3 that you took a picture!

You are great, thanks for sharing.

  7. Ha, I love Little Lion!!

btw - The dead snake was the scariest, but I really think the dead tadpoles in the cup stunk the most. Let me think, he was...FIVE! :o)

Yes, Little Pumpkin is sooo much fun. She has it all planned out you know. Kind of like someone else I know...
